ACL Race Series tri-metal engine bearings combine design, metallurgy and engineering for high-performance use. They are built for higher rpm conditions and are well regarded by Subaru engine builders.

• High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
• Hardened steel backs on all rod bearings to better support the bearing and help retain it in the housing
• Increased crush for improved bearing retention
• No flash plating on the back of the bearings, for better heat transfer and maximum grip between bearing and housing
• Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high rpm and help form hydrodynamic oil films
• 3/4 grooved main bearings to optimise load-carrying surface area and oil flow to the conrod bearings
• Tight, consistent wall tolerance to help maintain consistent clearances
• Enlarged ID chamfers on bearing edges where required, to accommodate the large fillet radius of performance crankshafts
