ACL Race Series Main Bearing set - Rear Thrust - Position 5

The ACL Race Series combines design, metallurgy and engineering to deliver what drivers expect from high-performance tri-metal engine bearings. Designed to withstand higher rpm, these bearings are highly respected among Subaru engine builders.

This is the main bearing set with the thrust bearing in the rear position (position 5).

• High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for better fatigue properties
• Hardened steel backs on all rod bearings for better bearing support and retention in the housing
• Increased crush for better bearing retention
• No flash plating on the back of the bearings, for better heat transfer and maximum grip between bearing and housing
• Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high rpm and to help form hydrodynamic oil films
• 3/4 grooved main bearings to optimise load-carrying surface area and oil flow to the conrod bearings
• Tight, consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances
• Enlarged ID chamfers on the bearing edges where required, to accommodate the large fillet radius of performance crankshafts
