The flywheel is made from a one-piece billet chromoly steel forging. Unlike aluminium or multi-piece designs, the ring gear teeth are an integral part of the main body, so they cannot separate because of the different expansion rates of aluminium and steel. All EXEDY Racing flywheels are gas nitrided for superior hardness, which gives better wear with ceramic puck clutch discs while still working well with all other friction materials. EXEDY steel billet and forged flywheels have passed engineering tests at 18,000 rpm and are certified to SFI specification 1.1.

Compatible with Stage 1 Organic, Stage 2 Sports and Stage 2 Racing clutches.
