Engine oil temperature is key to engine health as well as performance. Under hard driving, oil temperatures rise naturally because the faster-moving engine components generate more heat. As the oil gets hotter its viscosity thins, which reduces its ability to lubricate engine components efficiently and leads to premature wear and, in extreme cases, engine failure.

This oil cooler kit is designed to keep oil temperatures at a safe level. It uses quality components and is built to last.

• 19-row Setrab core, with working temperatures from -40°C to 150°C and a maximum burst pressure of 37 Bar(g)
• Pre-assembled lines in -8 Goodridge 200 Series stainless steel braided nitrile hose
• Protective sleeve over the lines
• Re-usable alloy fittings with 360-degree swivel ends
• Thermostatically controlled oil sandwich plate

The 200 Series hose has long been used by motorsport championship teams. It protects against high pressure, temperature, vibration, fire risk and chafing. It has a seamless synthetic CPE inner with an integral stainless steel braid and a high-tensile stainless steel outer braid, and offers the highest corrosion and fire resistance of any stainless braided nitrile hose. The sleeve over each line acts as a secondary fire retardant, insulator and chafe protector.

Each line end has a re-usable alloy fitting engineered for 200 Series hose. The aerospace-standard triple seal / double O-ring nitrile design gives a secure, leak-free connection, and the 360-degree swivel ends allow any alignment needed.

The thermostatically controlled sandwich plate makes sure the oil cooler only engages when it is required.
