Stage X 2 Piece Billet Gudgeon Pin & Oil Separator Cover Kit

This two-piece billet gudgeon pin cover and oil separator cover kit is a sensible addition to any engine build to guard against future oil leaks.

Over the years Subaru made oil separator covers from various materials, including cast aluminium, plastic and pressed steel. Many of the later designs were made purely to save cost and eventually led to oil leaks, visible between the engine block and the gearbox bell housing. In extreme cases the escaping oil can reach the clutch plate, which means removing the gearbox to fix the leak and also fitting a new clutch kit, perhaps long before it is due.

An engine is ideally built only once, so it is important to consider the common faults and weak areas and deal with them before they arise. With this in mind, Stage X designed its own separator cover. It is based on the genuine part but has greater material thickness and an improved design. With adequate sealer and the correct torque, leaks from the rear oil cover can be eliminated.
