In most cases a carbon fibre prop shaft saves around 50% in weight over the standard OE part, which brings clear performance gains for your Subaru.

Besides the reduction in overall mass, reducing rotating mass improves acceleration and throttle response. Lower inertia also improves braking response.

A carbon fibre shaft also has a torsional spring rate a little lower than aluminium and about half that of steel. The lower spring rate means less driveline shock, less stress on other drivetrain components and increased traction.
