Stage X Uprated Low Temperature Thermostat

This thermostat is designed to improve reliability, thanks to its construction and a strict quality control inspection process, and to start the engine's cooling process earlier.

With a low temperature thermostat, the coolant starts circulating around the engine much sooner, so overall engine temperatures come down earlier than they otherwise would. The coolant's job is to carry heat out of the engine, take it through the radiator (where the actual temperature reduction happens) and return to the engine cooler than when it left. The thermostat acts as the door that starts this process, so opening it earlier gives the coolant a head start on removing heat.

Once coolant flows earlier, the next step for significant temperature drops is a performance radiator. A larger radiator holds more coolant at any one time, and its larger surface area and improved fin design let more air pass through, cooling the coolant faster, more efficiently and in greater volume.

Low temperature thermostats are best suited to cars driven hard on road or track, where engine temperatures rise much faster than in normal road use.
